The Avataq Cultural Institute is the cultural organization of the Inuit of Nunavik, in northern Quebec, Canada. Since its creation in 1980, Avataq has built a solid reputation as a cultural leader in Canada and abroad. Its goal is to ensure that Inuit culture and language continue to flourish, so that future generations benefit from the rich heritage passed down by our ancestors in all their wisdom.
