Association Des Familles De Personnes Assassinees Ou Disparues, Afpad

AFPAD is a non-profit organization that operates in all regions of Quebec. Its main mission is to break the isolation experienced by victims' families by offering various resources and tools with the aim of rebuilding their lives. Since 2005, the association has consoled mothers, fathers, children and grandparents affected by a homicide or criminal disappearance. Donations are used directly to help members: psychotherapy sessions, workshops on traumatic bereavement, trips to the trial of the alleged assassin for a healing process, organization of commemorations, legal advice, etc.
