Les Petits Frères

Since 1962, Les Petits Frères has had the mission of breaking the isolation of single people aged 75 and over, by creating a committed and faithful family around them. In action in 12 regions of Quebec, and everywhere else through telephone twinning, the organization is the only one to support seniors until the end of their lives, regardless of their condition. Aged on average 85 years, these “Grandes Amies” and “Grands Amis”, as the volunteers and the entire Petits Frères team affectionately call them, benefit from a network of support and mutual aid for an average of four years, and this can even last more than ten years. The majority of these people live on low income, and nearly a third suffer from complex health conditions. The actress Marie-Thérèse Fortin has been the spokesperson for Petits Frères since 2017, and the actress Béatrice Picard has been its godmother since 2007.
