Municipalite Scolaire Kativik

The Nunavik School Board was created in 1975 under the James Bay and Northern Quebec Agreement. It offers instruction in Inuktitut, French and English, from kindergarten to Secondary 5, as well as educational programs for adults. The organization's mission is to offer a curriculum anchored in Inuit values, language and worldview, while promoting students' cultural autonomy. The Nunavik School Board also sponsors more than 125 students in Canadian post-secondary educational institutions outside Nunavik.
