Amélioration Jeunesse Internationale / Youth Upliftment International

Collège Amelioration Jeunesse is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing quality education to underprivileged Haitian youth in Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic. The organization began in 2008 when founder Katelyn Bateman saw street children begging and working rather than going to school. Their situation inspired her to create a primary school, which has now become Youth Improvement College. The organization's goal is to provide quality education while meeting the basic needs of students.
